Want To Be More At peace In Your Life? Use This Tip.

I heard New York Times columnist, David Brooks talk about having our loves in order.

As a guest on the inspirational talk show, Super Soul Sunday, hosted by Oprah Winfrey, he talked about what he considers sin to be.
According to brooks, “we sin when we have our loves out of order”.
He explains that there should be a balance of all the things we love.

“Our love of truth should be higher than our love of money. [But] if we’re lying to get money, we’re putting our loves out of order,” says Brooks.
I basically think that Brooks statement here is very profound.
I realize that several times a day I have to make choices between the things I love.
Here are a few personal examples,
When I wake up at 6 in the morning, I have to make a choice between going back to sleep for another hour or going for a workout.
When I get to work in the morning, I realize that I have to make a choice between enjoying a sumptuous carbohydrate dense breakfast which is going to make me tired for most of the day, or having a lighter breakfast which is going to have a positive impact on my focus at work.
Once I get home in the evening, I have to make a choice between eating dinner right away or doing some exercise.
Later in the evening, I have to make a choice between going to bed or writing a blog post.
And finally “when they bring light” in the middle of the night, I have to make a choice between waking up to iron my clothes for work or enjoying my sleep.
The truth is whenever I know I have made good choices, I am happier. And I believe the same is true for all of us.
The idea really is doing the right things at the right times.
We are entitled to love all things including activities that do not directly  contribute productively to our lives.  Trust me, every single thing you do serves a purpose, but there is time for everything and there is an order for everything.
